Fitness classes, dancing, and functional training in the warm Lanzarote sunshine, overlooking the roaring Atlantic Ocean and beautiful volcanoes. That’s what a typical day at Club La Santa looks like.

Club La Santa is known for its high-quality group training sessions led by our skilled team of instructors. Some of our most popular activities are our fitness classes and functional training sessions. 

Most classes take place outdoors on The Lawn, 5-a-side, Volcano or Laguna areas, but you can also make use of our indoor dance studio, fitness centre, a fully equipped CrossFit area and a Functional Zone where many of our functional classes happen. In the Functional Zone you will also find our HYROX gym - the first outdoor HYROX gym in the world. 

Each week we have different classes that you can join, and you can either dance to single numbers or build up entire choreographies. We’re always bringing new dance and fitness classes, so our programme and events are constantly changing. You can always check out the current weekly programme to find out what’s going on now.

Fitness class training at Club La Santa is a mix of aerobics, functional training, fitness, and fitness dance.  We are constantly adding new activities to our fitness class programme, so the list below is only indicative.

Barefoot fitness

This classes focuses on strengthening and mobilizing the feet and ankles. It involves functional exercises using only your bodyweight.

Deep water aqua

You will be equipped with a belt and a set of floating dumbbells for this fun fitness class. This class is a great no impact cardio and strength activity for all levels.

Boxing and fitness boxing

Learn all the basics of boxing including warm-up, punches, stance, footwork, defense and groundwork. You can also try our Fitness boxing classes where boxing is combined with high-intensity training.

Fitball

Total body training using large fitballs that will challenge your balance and core stability to the max. This functional workout is a great way to improve posture and alignment.

Circuit fusion

A high paced circuit with stations using functional training equipment such as kettlebells, medicine balls and sandbags.

Body toning

This full body workout will strengthen and tone your entire body. You may use barbells, weight plates, resistance bands and/or step benches depending on the instructor’s choice.

Ballroom dancing

Ballroom dancing will teach you to cha cha cha, jive, waltz, samba and more whilst having a fun effective workout. This is all done to the latest and most popular music without a partner.

Kettlebell training

Kettlebell training works many parts of the body simultaneously and elevates the heart rate for effective cardiovascular training. You will learn the basic Kettlebell swings for a challenging full body workout.

Fitness football

Be a part of a 50 minute hard but fun cardio and strength workout with a football. The instruction is for everybody even if you have never played football before.

Hiit

A high-intensity interval training class which involves intense bursts of high-intensity exercises followed by varied periods of low-intensity active rest, or complete rest.

Hula hoop

A fun class that challenges your ability to keep your Hula Hoop spinning while performing basic, functional exercises.

Fitness handball

Be a part of this hard but fun cardio and strength workout with a handball. The instruction is for everybody even if you have never played handball before.

Functional training

Functional movements performed at high intensity using equipment and your own bodyweight to push your body to the max. This class will improve your strength and fitness quicker than any other workout.

Step

A high energy class using the Reebok step platform. Choose from 3 different levels of choreography based on your ability level to challenge both your body and mind.

Senior circuits

This class is designed to maintain and improve mobility, strength and flexibility. You can enjoy the benefits of training in a group setting, making full use of our Sanocircle air resistance machines.

Sup fitness

You will perform a variety of strength and balance exercises on a Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) board. It is an unstable platform that acts as a balance trainer and increases the intensity and difficulty of every exercise.

Ultimate legs & glutes

This workout will strengthen and tone your entire lower body with a special focus on thighs and glutes. Don´t miss out on this awesome class while on holiday at Club La Santa!

Ultimate abs

This workout will strengthen and tone the whole of your core with or without equipment.

Trampoline fitness

This is a fun and dynamic class where you will get a full body workout on a fitness trampoline.

Trx

TRX training improves your strength, balance, flexibility and core stability. It is one of our most popular activities and we offer beginners and intermediate classes.

Aerial fitness

Conditioning and flexibility exercises using the hammocks and the floor. First, join an introduction class then you are ready for a faster pace and more challenging exercises.

Aqua jogging

Aqua Jogging is very effective for injury rehabilitation and for non-impact cross training. Our introduction class focuses on technique and injury prevention, whilst getting a good workout.

Aqua party

Want to start a party? Aqua Party is an activity for everyone! You will combine fun moves with energetic music to give you an entertaining workout in the leisure pool.

Fitness reformer

Using the reformer machines, you will combine dynamic, functional movements to create a full body workout that will work with strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.

Liit

A low-impact interval training class which involves a full body workout that raises your heart rate but without the impact on your joints.

Recover faster

This class focus on both static and dynamic stretching which is split into two sections: lower body and upper body, specifically using different exercises to aid recovery.

Powerlifting

Focusing on either back squat, deadlift, or bench press, you will receive individual feedback on improving your movement to ensure you have an efficient technique for maximum results.

Olympic weightlifting

Become powerful learning how to either snatch, clean or jerk in our intimately sized class. You will receive individualised feedback to help improve your technique for maximum results.

Functional Team Workout

A class suitable for all levels, providing a fun team work out for you to push to your limits in a new way. You will be challenged as part of a 2–4-person team to complete high intensity workout with the possibility of using a range of equipment. The work

Fascial training

In this class we will work with the connective tissue in the body – our fascia. Through mobility exercises, dynamic wide movements, rebound elasticity, multi-dimensional/functional movements and finally fascial release we will create a healthy fascia

Zumba

Zumba® is a total body workout that blends all elements of fitness into one energy boosting, stress relieving workout. The fusion of Latin and World rhythms creates the perfect combination of fun and fitness so you won´t even realise you are exercising.

Aerobics

An equipment free exercise to music class designed to burn fat and improve aerobic capacity. The class is choreography-based to challenge your mind as well as your body and can be adapted to all levels.
